Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve clinicians’ competence in assessing and managing complex HIV cases and individuals who are heavily treatment experienced.

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers who care for patients with heavily treatment–experienced HIV.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Compare characteristics of available therapies for heavily treatment–experienced HIV
  • Apply evidence and guideline-based strategies for assessing heavily treatment–experienced patients and complex cases
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients who are heavily treatment experienced with virologic failure
