The timing and agenda for each individual meeting is as follows:

  • Welcome, CME information, and baseline outcomes questions (10 mins)
  • Case 1 discussion followed by didactic slides (10-15 mins)
  • Case 2 discussion followed by didactic slides (10-15 mins)
  • Case 3 discussion followed by didactic slides (10-15 mins)
  • Question and answer session, concluding outcomes questions (15-20 mins)

Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ competence in providing optimal care for patients at risk of HIV infection through the appropriate use of HIV prevention strategies.

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for persons at risk of HIV infection.

Learning Objectives

  • Appropriately counsel persons at risk of HIV infection on the optimal use of approved agents for PrEP
  • Incorporate the latest data and expert insights on emerging prevention paradigms into the individualized care of persons at risk of HIV infection
  • Describe the mechanisms of action, efficacy, and safety of investigational PrEP agents in advanced stages of clinical development
