Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ competence in providing optimal care for HIV-infected patients through the appropriate use of contemporary ARV regimens.

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, registered nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for patients with HIV infection.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Appropriately counsel patients regarding data from clinical trials evaluating the use of antiretroviral agents to prevent HIV infection
  • Incorporate the results of recent clinical studies when utilizing antiretroviral agents for individualized management of HIV infection
  • Provide insightful counsel to patients and colleagues regarding studies of investigational antiretroviral agents and strategies in advanced stages of development
