Goal Statement
The goal of this activity is to improve learners’ competence in providing optimal care for HIV-infected patients through the appropriate use of contemporary ARV regimens.

Target Audience
This program is intended for physicians, registered nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for patients with HIV infection.

Learning Objectives

  • Apply optimized management strategies for patients with virologic failure in the setting of an extensive treatment history and multiclass drug resistance
  • Provide effective care for patients experiencing multiple comorbidities complicating their ART management
  • Formulate individualized ART regimens to avoid or reduce the risk of drug–drug interactions in patients receiving multiple comedications
