The primary purpose of this program is to arm clinicians with tools to address the most important and most current challenges in tardive dyskinesia (TD) by providing a tightly focused update on recent advances and key clinical issues encountered in patients. The program will consist of 2 virtual live interactive lectures on TD.
The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of learners to assess diagnostic considerations and new and emerging therapies for the treatment of psychiatric illness.
This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and psychologists engaged in the care of patients with psychiatric illness.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss an overview of tardive dyskinesia.
- Identify the traditional treatment approaches for TD and understand their limitations.
- Recognize details from recent research relating to efficacy and safety of novel treatment options for TD.
